Steve Colombo lives in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, with his wife Sonia. They have between them five children, Robert, Emily, and Anna Colombo and Jeremy and Karl Gellert and two German Shepherd dogs (Max and Boo).
Steve is a research scientist at the Ontario Forest Research Institute. He has a doctorate from the University of Toronto and enjoys what he describes as an intensely satisfying career. His research provides a better understanding of the impacts of climate change on forests and through it he develops strategies to help forests adapt to this global challenge.
In addition to A Letter from Frank, he has published two books on forestry topics and authored many technical and scientific papers.
